Food Corporation of India was set up under the Food Corporation Act 1964 and on January 14th 2006. FCI completed 41 years of its existence. Today, FCI is the country leader in food grains management and is fully focused on helping farmers feed the country, better and more efficiently, today and tomorrow.

The Food Corporation of India was setup under the Food Corporation Act 1964, in order to fulfill the following objectives:

• To intervene in the market for price stabilization
• To maintain buffer stocks as a measure of Food Security
• To provide the farmers remunerative prices
• To make food grains available at reasonable prices, particularly to the vulnerable sections of society

Food is the first requirement for the human beings to live. India is one of the largest countries in the world and population is also very large. FCI plays a leading role in making food grains available to the extent of 30 lakh tones during a month, to respective State Governments for its distribution among beneficiaries.

FCI Job Description

Food Corporation of India (FCI) is dealing with Food Management and Allied activities wishes to induct young and talented Management Trainees at the level of Managers in its different Cadres as well as Category III & IV personnel for manning posts in the District/Regional/Zonal establishments in West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa & Jharkhand.

There will be a written test for all applicants and it will be conducted at Kolkata, Patna, Bhubaneswar and Ranchi. The applicants should clearly give their preference in the application form.
