
On May 24, 2010 CEO Mark Zuckerberg decided to make a statement and published commentary in a Washington Post column; the column is the first public statement from the CEO since the controversy erupted. In the Washington Post, Zuckerberg acknowledged the social networking website's shortcomings. He also promised the company would do better and make reparations for the problematic issues that have a good percentage of people upset. In his statement Zuckerberg recognized the challenges of keeping up with a rapidly growing network which includes balancing innovation with user experience, and admitted the company missed the mark in providing users what they wanted. |
