Good news for millions of Facebook users all around the world. On 9th May 2012, Facebook made an announcement that it will launch its own App center very soon. In Facebook App Center, users will be able to access numerous apps for Android, iOS, web, mobile web and desktop. However, Facebook’s App Center will not allow the users to directly download the applications. The App Center will send the users to Google Play or the App Store for downloading the apps. Facebook claims that the App Centre will become a great place to find different interesting applications like Pinterest, Viddy, Draw Something, Battle Pirates, Bubble Witch Saga, and Spotify. Image Source: 9to5mac.com Facebook has made an early announcement about the App Center so that the app developers can prepare apps and launch them in the App Center at time. To guide the developers, Facebook has even launched an App Center Tutorial page where the developers can get all required information about the authorization and submission of apps to the App Center. As per Facebook Developer Blog, the apps would be kept for rating. The highly rated well-designed apps will be displayed in the App center while those apps that receive poor user ratings will not be listed. Each and every app to be listed in the App Center will have a description, which will explain about what makes the particular app unique. This will help the users in knowing the app nicely before installing it. Hence, all developers must create an app detail page to list their app in the App Center. Facebook also give an opportunity for developers to offer paid apps and that will make the users to pay certain amount of fee to use the app on Facebook.com. Over 900 million people uses Facebook and all are excited for the App Center. Let’s hope that Facebook will launch the App Center as soon as possible. |
