YouTube Censoring Profanity Comments

YouTube put some swear word censoring in their text comment system after years of angry complaints from many, many users of the system. The YouTube swear word Filter might not catch every thing, or they might filter out words that are clearly not profane. You can probably see from the comments that have been made on the video and most of the Profanity has been filtered out.

If you want to see the profanity so you can just unchecked the box for ‘Hide Profanity in comments’ by clicking options next to text comment and it is a done deal. Most of comments are meaningless and pointless swearing for the sake of it because people can. YouTube has gone down the use up so far in so little time.

The comment filtering started in October. CBS is one of YouTube’s “most important partners”. They also filter comments for companies when asked to do so it appears. CBS announced that viewers are flocking to their TV shows after seeing the clips on YouTube. The CBS president of Quincy Smith said, “To many users of sites like YouTube, of course, being profane, negative, off-topic and vitriolic is the point.” You can read more about YouTube Censoring Comments Here.
