PittGirl Virginia Montanez, the former ghost writer who entertained Pittsburghers for over three years on BurghBlog.com revealed her true identity. The next day she was fired from her job of six years. On Wednesday her new blog had 15,000 hits after she revealed who she was.
Virginia Montanez came clean on her new Web site, ThatsChurch.com, after calling it quits more than six months ago writing for the BurghBlog.
When Montanez publicly revealed her name, she also disclosed that she had been in a nonprofit organization, as a communications and marketing director at the college access program NEED, which often works with Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's office and UPMC -- two frequent targets of criticism on her old site, "The Burgh Blog."
Montanez said that she plans to continue writing for Pittsburgh Magazine and update her blog under her real name. She also said The Burgh Blog's archives will remain available on her new blog.
In the website, ThatsChurch.com Virginia Montanez has revealed all her personal details about her family life and family members including photos of her sister, father, mother, etc. 35-year-old Virginia Montanez is also a mother of two small children one son and daughter.
