Illinois Lottery Mega Millions Numbers
From the latest Mega Millions multi-state lottery drawing three players, in California, Ohio and Virginia, will share the $225 million jackpot, and each winning about $75 million. For the Second Prize Winners two from California, four from Illinois, one from Maryland, three from New Jersey, nine from New York and two from Texas.
The inconsistency in the prize amount is due pari-mutuel prize system of California that awards prizes based on the actual sales and number of winners. The two California second-prize winners will receive $286,354 each.
Another 96 players won third prizes of $10,000 respectively by matching 4 of the first 5 numbers plus the Mega Ball number. California's 15 winners will receive $10,412 instead of the fixed $10,000 prize granted in the other eleven states.The winning numbers were 9-16-24-40-43 and the Mega Ball was 35. With a $12 million jackpot, the next drawing is on Tuesday.
