2009 Bunker Hill Day ParadeBunker Hill day is a Legal holiday in Boston and surrounding Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Every year this day is celebrated on June 17. The Annual Bunker Hill Day parade was made its way through the roads of Boston on Wednesday. This year bunker celebrated its 234 anniversary. The holiday marks the anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill, which also known as the Battle of Breed's Hill. The battle was happened on 17 June, 1775, which was a part of the Siege of Boston during the American Revolutionary War. More than thousands people of Charlestown were joined in the Bunker Hill day parade in honor of the 224th anniversary of a bloody Revolutionary War battle. More than 40 marching bands and numerous floats represented from Boston and Charlestown history was made way up Bunker Hill. This Year some politicians have proposed to eliminating holidays like Bunker Hill Day for save money. But Charlestown people do not want to wipe their holiday from the calendar.
