Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan reportedly rejected an honorary doctorate to him by an Australian university in protest against the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia.

Big B Wrote on his Blog,  "I have been witnessing with great dismay and shock, the recent violent attacks on Indian students in Australia, on the electronic media the entire day." he also added "I mean no disrespect to the Institution that honors me, but under the present circumstances, where citizens of my own country are subjected to such acts of inhuman horror, my conscience does not permit me to accept this decoration from a country that perpetrates such indignity to my fellow countrymen".

As Amitabh, has sought the opinion of his fans where over 68% of his fans deny for any such honor from Australia, while 29% fans want Amitabh to accept the honour.
