Amkette EvoTV - Internet on TV launched at Rs 10000

Amkette, a well-known industry in computer peripherals has launched a new Smart TV box in India called EvoTV. EvoTV is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based thin TV that can even operate Google Play store. This Smart TV can convert the regular entertainment Television into the most amusing Android-based device by connecting both of them. Amkette released this Smart device on June 12, 2012 with a price tag of Rs 10000 with many different internet surfing features. These applications give the same pleasure of playing games, downloading video, making video calls as done on computer, Android phone or any other Smart device.

The remote control available with this featured Amkette EvoTV resembles as that of LG Magic wand. The remote controls the basic functions of the smart TV as well as deliver the bliss to play games, draw something and perform any of the amusing activity. The technical specifications of the device includes 7.1 channel audio output, 4GB of built-in storage, Ethernet port, Wi-Fi (DLNA), 3G dongle via USB, 4 USB ports, component, SD / MMC slot and HDMI connectivity. The capacity of RAM is not known yet.

The EvoTV is supposed to step into the market of Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai by the end of June. It will reach in every city of India by almost the end of August. Another internet media box instilled with same Android-based products will be introduced by Portronics. The device will be called as Limebox. A 1.2 GHz Rockchip processor, 512MB of DDR3 RAM, Adobe Flash 10.1 and 1080p HD videos will be supported by it.
