Easy and Soft Peanut Butter Cookies Recipes
In the early 1900s peanut butter was first touted as a health food and recipes of peanut butter were in many vegetarian cookbooks. Peanut butter is so popular today. We love it in our cooking, in peanut butter sandwiches, jelly sandwiches, our candy bars, and especially in peanut butter cookies.
Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
For about 2 dozen cookies
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe Cooking Method
Preheat oven to 375°F. Take the bowl. Put the butter in the bowl and cream it for two minutes. Add the sugar and cream it for two more minutes. Mix the egg in the peanut butter.Dry ingredients, flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder mix in the peanut butter. Put it in the sugar butter mixture.
Cover dough in plastic and store at a low temperature at least 3 hours. Dough shaped into 1 1/4 inch balls. On ungreased cookie sheet place the balls about 3 inches apart. With the help of a fork flatten it in crisscross pattern. Bake 9 to 10 minutes, for chewier cookies, bake at 300°F for 15 minutes, until the cookies color changes and convert into light brown.
For a minute cool the baking sheets, transfer to rack to cool completely. And your Peanut Butter Cookie is ready to eat!
