Macaroni and cheese recipe Ingredients & Preparation
The ultimate comfort food is Macaroni and cheese recipe. Almost every popular cook book and many south cookbooks have the recipe for Macaroni and cheese. It is believed that this dish was created by Thomas Jefferson, who had great interest in food. It is belived that macaroni and cheese was first made in the nineteenth century. Macaroni and cheese is a cheesy, creamy, delicious and decadent food. It’s a hearty meal, which loved by all.

Ingredients:
- 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon deli-style mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 12 ounces (about 3 cups) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 pound uncooked elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
Preparation:
- Take a bowl mix the eggs in it. Now put one cup of evaporated milk, hot pepper sauce, mustard, pepper and half teaspoon salt. Set it aside.
- Take a saucepan, put two quarts water in it and boil it. After that add macaroni and remain salt. And cook it according to the package specification but make sure that it would not to overcook.
- Now put it out to the water and drain immediately after doing that take a pan and put macaroni in it and put it on the low heat, add the butter in it and toss it to melt.
- Now pour the egg mixture over the buttered macaronis with the ¾ of the cheese, now mix it until they systematically combined and cheese starts to melt. Now add cheese and the rest of the evaporated milk slowly.
- Mix it until mixture is become creamy, remove the mixture from the heat and put it in the 11/2-2 quart baking dish.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. put the dish in the hot oven’s middle shelf and bake it for 20-25 minutes, it becomes hot and bubbly and cheese is slightly browned on the top.
