43-year-old Robert Van Winkle, popular as Vanilla Ice has been cast in Adam Sandler's comedy movie "I Hate You Dad." Vanilla Ice has played role in several films and series over the years like 1991 movie "Cool As Ice," 2002 teen comedy "The New Guy," "Matrix" spoof, "The Helix... Loaded,” and more. On the small screen, he also starred in the home improvement reality series about renovating houses "The Vanilla Ice Project" for the DIY Network. Vanilla Ice is the one-hit-wonder rapper well-known to '80s music fans. Vanilla Ice will portray as Antonio, who is an old friend of Sandler's character and a gay wedding coordinator from Long Island in the upcoming movie 'I Hate You Dad,' according to speculation. Antonio will arrange the wedding for Samberg and Meester. Sandler is set to play as a father-of-the-groom who lives with his son and disputes with his son's fiancé. The movie stars Andy Samberg as the son and Leighton Meester as daughter-in-law of Sandler's character. Meester's father role is negotiated to be played by James Caan. In "Bulletproof", Caan and Sandler come into view together and obviously enjoyed the experience sufficient to lastly reunite. It certainly seems to be a classic Sandler comedy. Hot Tub Time Machine writers Sean Anders and John Morris are the directors of "I Hate You Dad" and currently the movie is set to hit the theaters in June, 2012. It will be produced beneath Sandler's Happy Madison shingle. David Chase has written the original script for this movie but newly received a rewrite by Role Models writers David Wain and Ken Marino. The projects co-producer is the Sandman. It is little odd casting coming from the movie, however possibly Vanilla Ice will be able to play a compelling gay wedding planner. The movie seems to be lighthearted and amusing, but it won't actually make cinema history. |
