Pearl Jam on Conan O’Brien’s debut “Tonight Show”

Conan O’Brien has conscript Pearl Jam for his first-ever episode as host of The Tonight Show on June 1st, 2009. Pearl Jam performed one of their new songs, "Got Some" from their forthcoming ninth studio album "Backspacer" on the first ever Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Conan O’Brien finally took the show’s new Universal Studios stage on Monday night at 11:35pm.

The band also played a "secret show" last Thursday at the Seattle's Showbox theater that was filmed for a Target commercial and the filmed directed by Cameron Crowe. Conan O’Brien envelops his stint as host of Late Night in New York with a special show by the White Stripes. Pearl said, "It's important to remember we just got out of this 18-year relationship with Sony, and I'm pretty sure they are a bigger corporation than Target.”

The band plans to release the album without traditional label backing and he is working on deals with an online retailer, a gaming company and a mobile partner retailer. The CD also available on the band’s Fan Club. The band also still thrust around "two or three songs, all of them new" to perform; this album would be released via Universal Music Group.
