Melissa D Arabian: The Next Food Network 2009 Winner

Melissa D Arabian was named as the winner on the season finale of "The Next Food Network Star" on Sunday, August 2nd 2009. Melissa D Arabian beat the “ingredient smuggler” Jeffrey Saad of Los Angeles on the finale of season 5.

Melissa comes from Texas where she lives with her mother and four sister. And not much people expected her to take the big prize of Season 5 of “The Next Food Network Star”.

The Food Network reality program Season 5 was premiered in June with Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson adding Bobby Flay to the judging team. Melissa was the only contestant without professional cooking experience in that season. She will be appeared in her own cooking show which will premiere next week on Food Network.

Melissa’s new show will be called Ten Dollar Dinners with Melissa D Arabian, and it is going to premiere on The Food Network next Sunday, August 9th 2009 at 12:30 EST after “Sandra’s Money Saving Meals”.
