Kris Allen was the winner of American Idol Season 8 on the evening of 20 May 2009. Last night Kris Allen Beat hot favorite Adam Lambert to win the title "American Idol".

Host of American Idol Ryan Seacrest announced the winner of American Idol Season 8, he said that more than 100 million votes were cast after Tuesday's singing showdown between Lambert and Allen.

Last night Kris was so upset in the history of the show since the judges including Simon Cowell often tough guy preferential Lambert's wild performances.

The results show Wednesday May 13 was opened with Ryan Seacrest welcome back Adam and Kris on the stage. Before the announcement the judges was played with Top 13, all in white equipment performed Pink's "So What". And Last season’s winner David Cook performed one of his hit songs. He sang "Permanent" which was dedicated to his late brother, and can be purchased with the benefits going to cancer research.

Before the result was announced, Lambert and Allen had little musical community: they participate together with the Queen of rock anthem "We are Champions".

American Idol had a wonderful musical line up. Music royalty oil Rod Stewart sang his hit song ‘Maggie’ and promoted his upcoming tour. Comedian Steve Martin played banjo in the performance of his not comedy song “Pretty flowers” is written for his upcoming album. Other musicians on stage was American Idol, Queen Latifah, Jason Mraz, Kurt Nilsen and Black Eyed Peas, pop icons, Cindy Lauper, Lionel Ritchie and Carlos Santana.

Simon Cowell tipped his hat to both contestants Wednesday. The judges said "To both of you, and I don't normally mean this, I thought you were both brilliant. .... The future's is yours," Allen was joined by Keith Urban on "Kiss a Girl," at that time Lambert performed with Kiss.  

In the Tuesday Episode Both gave their best Performance. Lambert and Allen performed their own versions of an original song called "No Boundaries" that was co-written by Judge Kara. Adam Lambert was so good. Everybody expected that Adam Lambert will be become a champion of American Idol Season 8. But Luckily Kris Allen was winner of the American Idol season 8.
