The premier of the new series “Hawthorne” was shown on TNT at 9:00 on Tuesday night, on June 16, 2009. Jada Prinkett Smith is the executive producer of the show. She tells that most of the medical dramas give more importance to doctors but this drama focuses on the role of nurse.

Jada Pinkett is born at Baltimore and she is an actress, heavy metal rocker and wife of an actor Will Smith. She is also a singer and has toured with Britney Spears and OzzFest. In this show Jada Prinkett plays a role of Christina Hawthorne who is the head of the nurses at Richmond Trinity hospital and she fights for her patients as Chief nursing officer at the hospital. Prinkett smith tells that it was interesting to tell the stories from the nurses point of view as they spent the more time with patients and not the doctors. She explains that the doctors come and go within 15 minutes after checking the patient and in this show nurses will give all the facilities whatever patients will need.
