Ted Kennedy was died on Tuesday 25 August 2009 at the age of 77 in Hyannis Port, at Massachusetts. Ted Kennedy had suffered from brain cancer more than one year. His funeral mass was in Boston on 29 August 2009 in the morning after two days of place in repose at the Kennedy Library in Boston.

10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET: Event was closed to the public when Ted Kennedy’s funeral mass took place at their Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston.

Opening prayer was done by G. Curran Raclin, Jr., Kara Kennedy done Responsorial Psalm; second reading was read by Caroline R. Raclin, Homily by Reverend Mark R. Hession in two parts, the Kennedy grandchildren Prayer of the Faithful, Ted Kennedy, Jr. and Patrick Kennedy Remembers their Father, Eulogy by President Barack Obama in two parts.
