While Sania's father confirmed the break-up to Headlines Today on SMS, her aunt Hamida Shaifi said: "They broke up because they didn't get along. This has nothing to do with Sania's busy schedule in professional tennis."

The announcement, which was made as Sania crashed out of the Australian Open, comes as a surprise. Just days before the Australian Open, Sania had announced that she would quit tennis once she got married.
