The rose is the most popular flower used as a design in the tattoo world and they hold an intriguing history. Roses are given at a funeral and in this instance they symbolise respect and memory of the dead. The red rose holds a deeply religious meaning as a representation as the blood of Jesus Christ.It also bears the mark of meaning human spiritual growth, unfolding nature and martyrdom. And the dark red rose symbolises unconscious beauty. So a red rose on it's own, or intertwined with a cross or other object bears a great statement and true beauty upon the skin.
