61-year-old Indian movie actor and cultural icon, Rajnikanth, has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for medical treatment after getting discharged from Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai. April 29 was the first shooting day of his newest venture 'Raana' and he suffered from exhaustion on that day so he was admitted at Isabel Hospital in Chennai. However, he was discharged the same day and readmitted for allergic bronchitis and viral fever on May 4. He was admitted at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai for the treatment of respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal problems on May 13. His condition was stable at there so he was shifted at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. 'Endhiran' star left a brief recorded voice message to the fans of Rajnikanth that he will be with us soon, when many fans of his came to ask about his health in Chennai. Soundhariya, a daughter of Rajnikanth, sent voice clip to the fans as well as media before Rajnikanth left Chennai. As per some reports, Rajnikanth was admitted at Singapore for the kidney disease treatment. Dhanush, son-in-law of Rajnikanth, has refused to say anything about Rajinikanth to the media. The hospital has not commented anything about Rajinikanth's health and also refused to reveal the identity of its patients because his family has demanded for complete privacy. Many fans have arranged special poojas in Tamil for quick recovery of Rajnikanth. Rajnikanth said in his one-minute message, “I am happily going about my routine. Will come as soon as the treatment gets over.” |
