Soundarya Rajinikanth is the youngest daughter of Southern superstar, Rajinikanth and his wife, Latha Rajinikanth. She was born on 20th September, 1984 at Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Her high school was completed at The Ashram. The Ashram is a school founded by Rajinikanth and his wife. She has been married to Ashwin Ramkumar who is an entrepreneur and her longtime boyfriend. She has produced and directed many films. She is also a film graphic designer.

Soundarya Rajinikanth has contributed in many Kollywood films such as Baba, Majaa, Sandakozhi, Sivakasi, Sivaji, Chennai 600028, Chandramukhi, Anbe Aaruyire but she is recognized for her work in Anbe Aaruyire. She produced the films like Goa, Rana and Hara (also directed). At present, she has produced and directed an animation film, “Sultan The Warrior” herself in which her father has voiced the lead character.

In 2008, she had made guest appearance as herself in the film Kuselan. She is the creator and chief executive of film production company (Ocher Picture Productions). The film production company has signed a contract with Warner Bros. Entertainment (in 2007) to produce and distribute Tamil films. She has 1 older sister, Aishwarya Rajinikanth who has been married to an Indian film actor, Dhanush. Her sister has 2 sons named: Yathra and Linga.
