A major League Baseball player Prince Fielder tried to enter their Dodgers clubhouse angry at Guillermo Mota. He was furious but security guard was quick to stop him from going inside the Dodger clubhouse but he let out a few cusses.
Mota’s teammate Manny Ramirez was hit by a pitch in the seventh; Then Guillermo Mota was ejected for drilling Fielder with 2 outs. According to the report Mota and Fielder were teammates a year ago on Milwaukee but now look to be public enemies. Dodgers catcher Russell Martin acknowledged it was a response to Chris Smith hitting Ramirez with what appeared to be a much less purposeful pitch.
Fielder was one of four NL first basemen who made the 2009 NL All Star Team, he was also won the State Farm Home Run Derby 2009 in St Louis. Prince fielder’s 23 long balls tied for the sixth-most in the Derby's history.
