Britney Spears kicks off Circus tour at New Orleans Arena

The "Circus" came to the Big Easy Tuesday night and Britney Spears was its ringleader in an all-out bid to go from full-on fruitcake to reborn pop star.
Fans at the nearly sold-out show in the 19,000-seat New Orleans Arena had her back in her very public comeback.
"My friends make fun of me, but I've stuck by her. Ever since she started getting better, I've been waiting for this," said John Adams, 20, a college student who shelled out $100 for his ticket. "She knows how to work a crowd. She's just Britney."
