Nominations opened for SHELU89 TV Awards

It's the TV awards season once more and we are now officially announcing the SHELU89 TV Awards.

2009 has been a very exciting year for Philippine television with two of the biggest networks were able to produce exciting new shows and TV5 has successfully passed its first year in operation after launched last year.

Amidst the global economic turn-down and financial difficulties, most of the network experienced growth in terms of its revenues and viewership.

Both ABS-CBN and GMA saw increase on its daytime viewership, partly due to networks now programming original shows on the often neglected daytime block. TV5 has also dramatically increased its ratings, especially on weekends where some of its shows often secured the no. 1 spot.
