NFL star Eric Johnson & Jessica Simpson Engaged

An American singer, actress Jessica Simpson announced her engagement to an American football tight end, Eric Johnson ten days later, on November 14, 2010. Jessica Simpson declared about her engagement after her former husband and "Newlyweds" co-star Nick Lachey announced his engagement. Since May, Eric Johnson has been dating with Jessica. They met through their mutual friends.

After separated from his wife Keri, former NFL player Eric Johnson started dating with Simpson in May 2010. Both Keri Johnson and Eric Johnson separated after five years of marriage in October 2009. Finally, couple got divorced in September 2010. On other side, Nick Lachey, Simpson's ex-husband announced his engagement on November 4, 2010 to his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

"Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged!" said the rep. While promoting her Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line, Jessica showed off her diamond engagement ring during a photocall in Kansas. Previously, Simpson hinted that she wants to marry with Johnson, 31, and have children with her. Recently, she said: "I am from the south so I've definitely dreamed of being married my whole life and having children, so hopefully that's in my future."

The footballer is also praised for making Simpson happier than ever. She said: "He definitely makes me very happy. He brings out a lot of light in me and makes me very comfortable being who I am. It's nice to be with somebody who praises you for the right reasons." In an interview with People magazine, Simpson tells that she will be sung on a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and it seems that her fiance and his family will also be join her.

The entertainer and fashion designer said, "We're all gonna be in New York, I'm gonna be on a [Macy's parade] float. It's not always the best way to spend a Thanksgiving, but it's a great way to celebrate. So, maybe I'll just have all families on the float."

Asked if Johnson were the one, she replied: "I never go to that because I already went there, so, I'm not gonna jinx my own self. He's the one for me right now! I'm very happy, I'm in a great place and if right now could last forever, I'd take it."
