A 30 year expeienced Chicago radio personality, Steve Dahl who is famous for his broadcast style which inspired a generation of voices, told his WJMK-FM 104.3 listeners that he is being let go by the CBS-owned radio station.

Dahl's announcement confirmed longstanding rumors that he is the latest top-paid CBS radio host Chicago cut loose in recent months despite a contract, which until mid-2011 with a value of nearly 3 million U.S. dollars per year.
