Originally, the track was to be released at the Grammy awards ceremony, but outlandish singer could not wait till 13th Feb, and so she released it on Feb 11. The single is produced by Fernando Garibay, DJ White Shadow and Gaga, who also serves as a writer of the song. Lyrics of the song has been unveiled on Last month, at that time verses were compared with Valentino’s 1975 Motown track titled "I Was Born This Way" and spraded rumor about that GaGa ripped off the classic song. But actually both tracks are totally different.

The Motown track features lyrics, "I'm happy, I'm carefree and I'm gay/ I was born this way/ You call me strange 'cause you don't understand/ God's role for me in life's overall plan/ I've learned to hold my head up high/ Not in scorn nor disgrace/ Doin' my thing individually."  Lady Gaga’s new “Born This Way”, will be offering first from her next studio album on 23 May in the U.S.  The new edition of Lady gaga comes with three additional studio songs and five remixes and it is available for pre-order starting from Friday 11 Feb.

"Born This Way” is a song of praise to the gay and transgenders group of people who have been dedicated to the point of passion to Lady Gaga and to whom she gushingly offers a large amount of her imaginative output. In this song, you hear some bit of Kelly Rowland and David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over" and some melody from TLC's "Waterfalls." The chorus of the song from "Express Yourself," the glitter disco of "Ray of Light," the spoken-word bridge from "Vogue". In the last 10 second, there is even a clue of "Future Lovers" from her 2005 disc "Confessions on a Dance Floor".
