Kaminey Music Review: The movie music gave by Vishal Bharadwaj. The movie is set to released on Aug 31, 2009.

1. “Dhan Te Nan”

Te Nan, the music is out and the first song is already a big hit. The blockbuster track “Dhan Te Nan” sang by the super-hit singer Sukhwinder along with Vishal Dadlani. The “Dhan Te Nan” has left people asking for more and now we finally have the entire album. Sukhwinder sings in his impeccable style and Vishal backs him very well. Both of them together have sung it almost perfectly. This is the first song and truly Brilliant.

2. “Pehli Baar Mohabbat”

“Pehli Baar Mohabbat” is a completely different song and voice gave by Mohit Chauhan. It is a soft romantic song which has a bit of Rock feel to it and also makes nice use of various musical instruments in it. The lyrics here are also very beautiful and innovative. The song in all has a good combination of melody and lyrics and has been sung well by Mohit.

3. ”Raat Ke Dhai Baje”

The track “Raat Ke Dhai Baje” which is in a way addition to the prior track and has lot of singers. It has sung by Sunidhi, Rekha, Suresh Wadekar and Kunal Ganjawala. The entire soundtrack is pretty much male dominated and if last time both Sundihi and Rekha got some great tracks in form of Beedi and Namak. This song has also a remix version of the same track towards the end of the soundtrack which is also pretty much the same with some more beats and effects in it.

4. “Fatak”

This is a wonderful song and voice gave by Kailash Kher and Sukhwinder Singh. The song, “Fatak”, talks about AIDS and in a way that is so creative and appealing. By the way the “Fataak” is the sound of the beat that symbolizes how people need a whip sometimes to understand some things in life. And I think, in this track Gulzar has once again proved that he is a true mastermind and he deserves a special award. The complete song refers to AIDS as a ‘Bhanwra’ which comes in and doesn’t leave so easily. Vishal and Gulzaar both want to be praised for coming up with such an innovative and socially relevant track.

5. “Kaminey”

Now comes the title Song “Kaminey” and has been sung by Vishal Bhardwaj himself. The lyrics might sound funny to a few but they have a very serious meaning to it. There is a part (from 4.15 to 4.40) in the song which is symphonic in nature and Vishal has composed this song. And I think it is most good song in entire film. Really Vishal has done a good job on this track.

6. Go Charlie Go - Theme Music

“Go Charlie Go” theme music is the full version of the “Dhan Te Nan” in the first song. It is a nice bit of music and lyrics is very good. Because this is the key theme of the movie it would play a very important role in the film and it is good enough to do the job. It is a fast upbeat music with all the “Dhan Te Nan” which gives it a Seventies feels very well.

7. “Dhan Te Nan - Remix”

The last but not list a remix version of “Dhan Te Nan”. It has been done in a pleasant and special way. It has remixed by Aftab Khan who did a great job. There are some extra English lyrics in this remix version towards the end which are by Dominique Cerejo who did a good job and singing them too.

Overall, all songs of the big movie “Kaminey” are good we just hope you will heard this some fresh music soon. Album Rating: Four out of Five; a very fresh and innovative soundtrack.
