American Idol Adam Lambert “Tracks of my Tears” Video

American Idol 8 Top 10 – Adam Lambert “Tracks of My Tears”. Adam Lambert sings Tracks of my Tears on American Idol 8 Top 10.

Watch the video of Adam Lambert’s show-stealing rendition of “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles on American Idol show Motown night, March 25 2009. Very nice rendition of “Tracks of My Tears” by Adam Lambert though, I’m not hating at all. Adam Lambert’s looking like a favorite for the top 3 or so, at least.

Adam Lambert proves once again that he not only has the talent and the voice, but he’s creative and original – every performance is a birthday present from him.

At the risk of sounding politically incorrect, I’ll venture that the Elvification, the falsetto of many men singers has driven the women singers to sing like Natalie Merchant, Paula Cole, Bjork, Kate Bush, the Cranberries, Garbage, Shakira, and Alanis Morrisete… you know to sound off key. I’m sure I’m leaving some out.

By the way, Kris Allen? That shadow of a mustache made me laugh. It looks ridiculous.

Adam’s performance was really really nice last night. I’ll even put him at #1 (isn’t that nice of me?) But HD TV is not his friend.

OMG! Adam Lambert sans goth makeup! And in a blazer! He’s hardly recognizable! The American Idol fav sang “Tracks Of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson And The Miracles and as usual, gave a version that’s different from the original which is a tender, bare bones rendition with just a drummer and base guitar.

Our boy Adam Lambert finally won over even Simon Cowell tonight, who called Lambert’s Tracks Of My Tears “the best performance of the night.” And a standing ovation from the song’s writer, Smokey Robinson, sure doesn’t hurt. Ridiculously amazing.

We saw a new side of Adam, who dropped his edgy look for this performance of Tracks Of My Tears, made famous by Smokey and The Miracles in 1965.
