Taylor Kitsch is John Carter Of Mars

Andrew Stanton has found his John Carter – Wolverine’s Taylor Kitsch will play the lead role in the Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptation.

And he’ll be joined in the movie by fellow Wolverine alum Lyn Collins.

Carter is a battle weary Civil War veteran who finds himself transported to Mars where the lower gravity finds him a virtual superman.

He becomes involved in the battle for supremacy between warring races of the dying planet.

Collins, meanwhile, is Dejah Thoris, the Princess of Mars.

Now that’s he’s locking in Utah as his location, Stanton will be ready to shoot either later this year or early next.
