Pryas Gupta's forthcoming movie,Siddharth - The Prisoner is based on the ancient text of the Rig Veda of renunciation. If it revolves around the theme of renunciation of desires, as the true path to enlightenment and freedom.
Siddharth The Prisoner Story Line
The film opens with a literal excerpts from ancient writings of the Rig Veda says that makes me immortal in this area, where all desires and longing to go. Like the name says, the film is about the main character, Siddhartha Roy. One judge and one-time famous author, he has just been released from prison, and start writing a new script, with the idea that the book would help revive its lost reputation, and also bring back his wife, Maya.
Siddharth Roy released from the jail though he never know the reason of his imprisonment. He writes a scripts dedicated to his wife who she has dumped him. But fate has other plans for the author. His briefcase gets exchanged in a cybercafe. Where his Script is circulate with large money. one side Siddharth is worried about his script because he has only one copy. and other side Cyber cafe manager Sachin Nayak is under pressure from mob bosses to recover the lost money.
In this events Siddharth meets his 3 year old son through a conniving housemaid. The custody of his son becomes his prime objective in life. Unlike Siddhartha Mohan situation is extremely stressed out because he not only loses his job, but had to go into hiding from the mob. The only solution to his problem - he must find Siddhartha and money as soon as possible and return the latter to Goon.The background score by Sagar Desai is more effective. Rajat Kapoor plays his part fine and Sachin Nayak fits his character. Pradip Sagar as the assailant, however, is theatrical.
