Seth Rogen is Paul

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Greg Mottola have picked a solid comedy support team to their alien road trip comedy Paul.

Top of the list is Seth Rogen, who will voice the titular character, an alien that two sci-fi fanatics (Pegg and Frost) encounter on a trip to Area 51.

While Paul will largely be CG, Rogen’s voice means he should also be suitably chucklesome.

Also joining the roster is a healthy crop of current comedy talent – Bill Hader (who worked with Rogen and Mottola on Superbad), Jason Bateman, Kristin Wiig and Jane Lynch.

Nick and Simon will be shooting some scenes at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, so you can bet totalfilm.com will be there watching it all happen.

Could this be shaping up to be one of next year’s funniest movies? All signs point to yes…
