Maggie Gyllenhaal joins Nanny McPhee sequel

The Dark Knight’s Maggie Gyllenhaal has been added to the cast of Emma Thompson’s Nanny McPhee sequel.

Titled Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang it’s not, as some filthy minded types might imagine, a porn movie, but is actually set 100 years after the original.

Taking place during World War Two, Bang finds the titular child-manager taking on two groups of ankle-biters: city types evacuated from London and the country youngsters they’re forced to live with.

Naturally, hostilities break out between the two groups and Nanny arrives to sort them out.

It all kicks off shooting next month at Shepperton.
