Ready to see a giant, mutant plant attempting to eat everyone it comes into contact on the screen again? Good, because Little Shop Of Horrors is apparently ready for its second trip through the remake factory. Actually, the best-known version – Frank Oz’s 1986 musical take on the story starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin – was itself a redo of the 1960 original. And the man behind both? Producer Roger Corman, who has now apparently handed the keys to his killer plant kingdom to writer/director Declan O’Brien. O’Brien, who is finishing up a threequel to horror pic Wrong Turn, worked for Corman on the TV movie Cyclops, and, it would seem, impressed the cult pic producer. "I just optioned the remake rights," O'Brien tells Shock ‘Till You Drop. But can we expect singing? Maybe not… "I have a take on it you're not going to expect. I'm taking it in a different direction, let's put it that way." For now, we’ll worry – the ‘80s Shop is a lot of fun and who knows what a new version could be like… [Source: ShockTillYouDrop] Do you want a new Little Shop? Feed the comments!
