Halo Legends Online Trailer
Microsoft announced on July 23rd 2009 at San Diego Comic Con that they are producing a series of animated movies based on Halo and they have already signed on some of the top animated film makers and production studios in Japan.
Microsoft is teaming with five production houses for a series of seven short films called Halo Legends.
Microsoft debut the first trailer of Halo Legends yesterday at Comic-Con International in San Diego. It is being produced by 343 Industries and features creative direction from anime pioneer Shinji Aramaki, director of the critically acclaimed “Appleseed” and “Appleseed EX Machina”.
The collection will include a series of short stories that explore different times, themes and characters from the “Halo” universe and will be distributed globally by Warner Home Video, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. company. There are no words told by the Microsoft or the creators about the timeframe or setting of Halo Legends.
The shorts will be available on DVD and through digital media next year but Halo Legends arrives in preview form this fall on the "Halo Waypoint" portal on Xbox LIVE. Microsoft will also offer fans a career system and player rankings tied to “in-game and out-of-game activities”.
