"G-Force" topper 'Half-Blood Prince' at the Box Office
The 3-D animated and comedy "G-Force" was the top movie at the North American box office this weekend. The “G-Force” beat out “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” for the top spot.
This action film “G-Force” produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, with a mixture of live action and computer-generated animation movie. “G-Force” earned $32.1 million over the first weekend. G- Force taking the No.1 spots from Harry Potter.
In the last week’s topper movie, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” opened at $79.5 million and closet with a $30 million. This week the movie will start showing on 166 IMAX screens, which the last “Harry Potter”.
In the G-Force, movie featuring the main voice of Penelope Cruz , Nicolas Cage, Tracy Morgan, and Sam Rockwell as secret agent guinea pigs on a mission to save the world. The Disney executive said, “G-Force,” about three secret agent guinea pigs, appealed to family audiences and that more than half of the box office had come from 3D showings.” This movie was screening at 37 international locations. The box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian said about G-Force that, this is a great marketing campaign and a premise that had people scratching their heads while simultaneously grabbing the family.
