DreamWorks has bought Chris McCoy’s comedy script Good Looking.
The high concept – yet, shockingly, original idea melds the futuristic ideas of Minority Report with the soul-crushing world of online dating.
His story follows a matchmaking service that brings couples together without fail – and the one man who dares to reject the perfect partner the service selects.
He based his idea on London’s ever-present CCTV culture.

"If someone could organize that information and know what everyone in London was doing and eating and who they're dating and who they're going home with, then that's an incredibly powerful tool," McCoy tells The Hollywood Reporter.
"I think I have an oddball brain or something, but then I started thinking about how all that stuff could be applied to matchmaking. It would totally subvert Match.com and eHarmony, where I think people lie about who they are or they say what they think people will want them to be. But Good Looking, my service, knows who they are and can put them together."
There’s no word on a director or cast yet, but we’re just hoping that this original idea survives development hell…
