Looks like Disney is busy searching for a new fantasy series to replace Narnia - the company has nabbed the rights to The Stoneheart Trilogy. Sadly for him, his arrival upsets the nervy balance between good and evil, and sets him against sphinxes and gargoyles. To help sort things out, he teams up with an orphaned girl and a World War One gunner statue.
Because, you know, that’s what you do. To bring the film – and possible trilogy if the first one does well – to life, the Mouse House is working with Robert Zemeckis ImageMovers company, which means lots of performance capture. [Source: THR]
