SONY has sent over the feature trailer for Dark Kingdom The Dragon King. Its quite similar to Lord of the Rings and although the production value originally did not look very good. You now have to say the trailer is pretty good. It looks like this might be a movie for Lord of the Rings Fans to check out. Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing the direct to video fantasy adventure "Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King" onto DVD. The film will be presented in a Anamorphic Widescreen transfer with English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks. Extras include five making of features. It will be airing on the Sci-Fi Channel as a two-parter, started on March 27th concluding simultaneously with the release of the DVD.

Dark Kingdom The Dragon King Synopsis :

This amazing story is based on the twelfth-century epic poem that has been the inspiration for several adventure classics including Richard Wagner’s "The Ring Cycle". "Dark Kingdom : The Dragon King" follows the son of a simple swordsmith, Siegfried (Fuermann), who is actually an orphaned prince and an heir to the throne. To save his kingdom, Siegfried engages in battle and slays an evil dragon that is guarding a cursed ancient and deadly ring. Siegfried must also face his love for both Brunnhild, Queen of Iceland (Loken), and Kriemhild, princess of Burgund (Witt). Loaded with intense special effects and amazing CGI effects, Dark Kingdom : The Dragon King , is directed by Uil Edel.
