Bruno's LA premiere goes ahead despite Michael Jackson's Death

Thursday night Sacha Baron Cohen's upcoming movie “Bruno” Los Angeles premieres ceremony has been changes because of King of Pop Michael Jackson unexpected death. According to news that Universal Pictures decided to cut a scene related to the King of Pop in which Baron Cohen's character interviewed Jackson's sister La Toya about a number of topics including her brother.

A Universal Pictures spokesperson said on Friday, “Out of respect for the Jackson family, the filmmakers have decided to remove a small scene involving La Toya Jackson.” According to the Hollywood Reporter was not particularly disgraceful in terms of Sacha Baron Cohen's normal style and the scene has been seen at press previews.

The cut will be made worldwide, but the uncut movie already has premiered in Europe including in London, Paris and Berlin, where the comedian has attracted a lot of attention with fancy dress outfits and stunts.

Director Larry Charles said at the premiere's after party, "We decided to take it out for tonight, and we'll reassess before the release whether to keep it out." The comedy follows Sacha Baron Cohen’s, a gay fashion reporter from Austria called ‘Bruno’ on a journey about North America.
