8 x 10 Tasveer is a story about Jai Puri, who has a unique supernatural gift to see the last of the dead, by pressing their personal items. He often uses this ability to help people. Jai is of Indian origin who works as a forester in Canada.

His family, friends and even he at times is skeptical of this power. But Jai manages to eke like living in this country as characterized by the belief in the supernatural. Ayesha Takia plays Jai's wife and breadwinner of the family. Sheel Patel (Ayesha Takia) loath faith in her husband's powers.

Things take a personal turn when Jai's father (Benjamin Gilani) dies in mysterious circumstances in a boat accident. Events leading Jai suspect that his father was murdered.
