Mark Ronson and his beloved pet dog MAUDE have posed side-by-side for a new animal rights campaign urging people not to wear fur. In April (2009), Ronson was named Britain's best dressed man by men's magazine GQ - and now a new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) explains his secret to looking sharp is going without fur. As seen in the Photo below, Wearing a tuxedo and a bow tie, the super producer is photographed with his arm around his rescued canine Maude, with a tag line that reads: If you wouldn't wear your dog, please don't wear any fur. The campaign was organized by Peta2, the youth arm of the animal rights group (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.PETA Europe Director Robbie LeBlanc said: "The only difference between our 'best friends' and animals killed for their fur is how we treat them. No one knows that better than a sharp dresserlike Mark Ronson. With all the fashionable alternatives available, there's absolutely no excuse for wearing fur. Ronson is the latest celebrity to oppose fur in campaigns for Peta2, following in the footsteps of Kasabian, The Courteneers and The Wombats.Stars to have shown their support for PETA include Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and Pink Chances are that Peta told Ronson he’d come back as a ferret or a tiger or a cow and be turned into a Mod’s radio attachment. |
