But Katie Holmes silenced every critic last week after pulling off a stunning transformation for the Japanese premiere of Tom Cruise's film Valkyrie.
Now it has emerged that for Mrs Cruise, beauty indeed comes at a price.
The mother-of-one is said to have splashed out £30,000 on the incredible makeover, which took more than two days to execute.
