“The Bounty Hunter,” billed as a romantic comedy with hints of an action movie here and there, starring two of the hottest movie stars of the moment, Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, has turned out to be a major flop. Despite the millions that went into promoting it and the surrounding hype, the film could simply not get off the ground and the responsible for that might be Aniston herself, says a New York Post report. It’s no secret that Aniston has some issues with making movies that fare reasonably at the box-office. Save with some amazing exceptions. (“The Break-Up” and “Marley and Me” are the first two that come to mind), the star can hardly make a movie that is not labeled a major flop. While she insists that fans are opposed to seeing her in anything but a light romantic comedy, the aforementioned report argues that this might be exactly the kind of role she should stay away from. |
