Jaden Smith is highest paid Hollywood child star

At just little age of the 12, Jaden Smith has achieved staggering seven figure pay success and become the highest paid Hollywood child star with $3 million pay by 2010 American martial arts remake of the 1984 film, "The Karate Kid" in which he has been casted as main role of young boy Dre Parker alongside Jackie Chan.

The celebrity website TMZ reported that Jaden Smith has received $1 million (£600,000) salary for his work as up front and as per additional contract’s bonus clauses that based on the movies performance; he has received another $2 million (£1.3m) as bonus following ‘The Karate Kid’ film earning over $150 million (£100m) at the US box office. As well, Jaden may also received additional cash by merchandising, DVD sales, etc.

Jaden Smith is son of Hollywood famous celebrity couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. As a child star, he is also working as a rap artist, songwriter and dancer. For this movie, he also sang the theme song 'Never Say Never' alongside Canadian recording teen artist Justin Bieber. Actually, The Karate Kid is his third movie in his raising filmy career after his debuting movie ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ (2006) with a small role alongside his dad and ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ (2008).
