On Apple’s iTunes website, Apple has started running a contest to celebrate that it will sell 10 billion songs soon. You will win a $10,000 gift card from Apple, if you buy the 10 billionth song from iTunes. According to Apple, you have to buy music, make songs and then albums will available for download day or night; this is the new way of the iTunes. Apple will celebrate its biggest milestone for music after seven years of its launch to say thanks to the customers. By downloading song from iTunes store or online, users will be automatically entered in the contest.

If you do not want to purchase a song then you have to fill the form given at http://www.apple.com/itunes/10-billion-song-countdown/entryform/ and enter your name, complete mailing address (P.O. Boxes not acceptable), telephone number, and birth date. Once your online entry is complete, hit the “Submit” button to submit an entry. iTunes 10 billion download contest is open only for those who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. For entry in the contest, contestants have to be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.



Promotion period of the iTunes 10 billion download contest has been started from 11 February 2010 and it will end on the downloading of the 10th billion songs. The promotion is limited to 25 entries per day per user.
