Ice-dancing story of Virtue and Moir is one of friendship and gold

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — For the chagrined hosts, the Olympic gold medal in ice dancing couldn’t have come at a better time. Canada’s tragedies and disappointments since these Winter Games began have been well chronicled.So they needed this, these two kids from Ontario, obviously so very much in love, to come out of the blue and snatch the gold medal in an event that North Americans had never won.
