High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale returns as Sharpay

Actress Ashley Tisdale will reprise her role from High School Musical in the upcoming made-for-TV movie Sharpay's Big Adventure. In the movie, queen bee Sharpay will venture to New York City on a quest to fulfil her dream of becoming a Broadway superstar. "In Sharpay, Ashley Tisdale brought to life one of the most memorable comedic characters we've seen in years," said Disney in a statement. "This movie captures the absolutely perfect next chapter in Sharpay's life, as she tries to cultivate the humanity buried, deep, deep within her — a challenging and hilarious endeavour." Sharpay's Big Adventure will premiere in the US in 2011.
