A beautiful Gia Marie Carangi was hit "Supermodel” of late 20th century in Europe. Model Gia Carangi’s story in “GIA” (1998) led by Angelina Jolie appears on Oxygen television movie. This film earned Golden Globes for Jolie and co-star Faye Dunaway. This film made by Gia Marie’s life and death, debuted on HBO. Gia Marie Carangi died in November 18, 1986 at the age of 26, because of AIDS. Gia was started her modeling career at the age of 18, she was famous and favorite model of many fashion photographers like, Chris von Wangenheim, Arthur Elgort, Francesco Scavullo, and Arthur Elgort. She got famous for very short time and at a very young age. She was also featured on various latest cover of magazines including, Cosmopolitan, Vogue Paris, American, Italian etc. She got addicted to drugs badly and thus lost her sensual body and attractive looks. Her drug abuse greatly affected her modeling career, and after being caught with drugs in 1983 at an Africa shoot.
