Nintendo 3DS LL(3DS XL) with bigger screens announced

Nintendo, the Japanese game maker, has announced a brand new 3DS handheld console with larger screen and better battery power. The new system is named as Nintendo 3DS XL in the west and Nintendo 3DS LL in Japan. It will be launched in Japanese and European markets in the month of July 2012 with a price tag of 18,900 yen or $235 while the 3DS XL will be available in the US market from 19th of August 2012 at a decent price of $199. Nintendo claims that the new version of game console will have 90% bigger screen than the original 3DS. It will also come equipped with a 4 GB SD Card to store downloadable apps and games.

The Nintendo 3DS XL/LL will feature a huge 4.88 inch top screen with 240 x 800 pixels of resolution and a secondary display measuring 4.18 inch with 240 x 320 pixels of resolution. The gaming console will also support Bluetooth Keyboard and one analogue control stick. The device measuring 93mm x 165mm x 22mm will be some what bulkier, with weight of 336 grams. With improved battery life, the gamers will be able to play 3DS games continuously for 3.5 to 6.5 hours and DS games for 6 to 10 hours. The Japanese version 3DS LL will be available in three color variants: red & black, white, and silver & black. Moreover, the 3DS XL for US market will come in black, black & red, and black & blue color options.
